About us

L’Ambos Mundos is a family-run restaurant, established in Plaça Reial, Barcelona, in 1955.

We are the fourth generation, still working with the same passion, dedication and respect for tradition, keeping alive an authentic cuisine that has been carefully preserved over generations. We combine quality, warmth and friendly service so that you feel at home, whether you are a regular guest or visiting us for the first time.

Our commitment is to offer memorable experiences in a welcoming atmosphere, where you can enjoy our menu, classic dishes, good wines, and the essence of Catalan and Spanish cuisine in the heart of Barcelona.

Plaça Reial

The former Capuchin convent of Santa Madrona was transformed in 1848 into the Plaça Reial we know today, under the direction of architect Daniel Molina i Casamajó.

It is one of the city’s most distinguished squares, and its arcades make it truly unique.
The central cast-iron fountain, known as Les Tres Gràcies, was designed by Antoni Rovira i Trias in 1876, and the two street lamps belong to the early development phase of Antoni Gaudí.

The royal palm trees, surrounding buildings and the constant flow of visitors from all over the world make this a historic, privileged and at the same time exotic setting.
